This was a partial basement renovation to update and modernize the space and expand an existing bathroom. We started with demolition and removed all drywall, framing and insulation from the ceiling and walls. This amounted to over 1 tonne of material! Walls were rebuilt using 2x4 framing, insulation, vapour barrier, drywall and electrical outlets prior to being finished with primer and paint. A wall was installed in the main room to make additional space for the bathroom and a walk-in closet. The laundry section of the utility room was reworked as the bathtub needed some additional space. New doors were installed throughout the entire basement, along with new premium laminate floors. The bathroom that was previously a very small two piece is now a large three piece with a 48" vanity, full sized bathtub and ceramic tile throughout.
