Another large basement completed, approximately 1000 square feet of remodeled space! A small amount of demolition was needed to remove a pre-existing bedroom and this location also had a number of HVAC ducts and electrical lines that were impeding the new design and required moving. The new design focused on keeping the basement as open concept as possible. The clients wanted a space for their sauna, a three piece bathroom, storage, a place to store and use their guitars, a larger space for their fitness equipment and a TV entertainment area to watch movies with the whole family. The new basement is finished with premium laminate flooring, premium trim that match the main floor, LED pot lights throughout and has Roxul sound and fire insulation installed in the entire ceiling to help with sound dampening from the main floor. The TV entertainment area consists of a 65" TV mounted on a fully articulating wall mount with 4K HDMI cables routed to a space for future AV equipment as well as Cat6 network cabling back to the electrical panel area. The bathroom was installed with an acrylic shower, ceramic floor tile, and a 36" vanity with quartz counter.
